Q: Given that you are a pro-privacy group, why would you make a page on a site your newsletter has repeatedly attacked, and is known for spying on and selling user’s private information.

A: Great question, one we asked ourselves going forward. Humans Not Drones as an organization has avoided any association with Facebook via either our site, or newsletter (which currently boasts roughly 5K followers) for the 8 years of our existence. However, because of the severity of the footage, some of which we cannot yet release for legal reasons, we--as a group--decided to use all options available to use in our efforts to inform the public and spread our message.

Q: Is this footage found on the USB drive legitimate? How can the public know they’re not being conned or trolled?

A: This is a concern Humans Not Drones had going in, but upon being allowed a closer inspection of the footage, as well as seeing some of the clips that were not released to the public, we’re confident that what has been found on this USB drive is a genuine trial run of either a micro camera contact lens, or an actual optic implant of a micro camera.

Q: When will the entire contents of the USB drive be made available to the public?

A: That largely depends on when we are able to encrypt the .exe files while also covering all bases to protect the individual whom the USB drive legally belongs to, and ensure there are no liabilities accompanied by showing all off the footage and anything found within the .exe file to the general public.

Q: What does this mean for the fans of the Humans Not Drones newsletter?

A: Some changes, but for the best. Our entire focus as of late has been on the USB drive. However this does not mean that we have discontinued our monthly newsletter. A new addition has been made to the usual contents of tech privacy updates, and articles in the form of updates on our observations and progress towards understanding exactly what this USB drive contains.
